The original Abbey Theatre Irish pub is just a short walk from the baroque splendour of Piazza
Navona Rome. This pub, located in one of the busiest areas in Rome is where to find a slice of Ireland in Italy.
The pub takes his name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.
Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere.
The six spacious rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness.
A choice of traditional Italian or old-fashioned Irish cuisine is available both at lunch and dinner time.
TV, pop-videos and live Irish music abound. We offer hot dishes and
a cold buffet, as well as draught-Guinness, and various Scottish and Irish whiskies. The pub offers a daytime version of happy hour called ‘Happy Lunch’, as well as tea and petit fours during the afternoon. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.
